Need ideas!

I would like to do more read alouds in my Spanish classes. If anyone has any suggestions for some books (not necessarily in Spanish) that would be good for me to use please let me know. Thanks in advance for any input!!

I went to the Scholastic Books warehouse and purchased some childern's books that were in Spanish. The books I picked were common childern's books. Stories that the students would remember from their childhood. That allows the students to follow the stories better.

What about a YA novel that is based on or around a character from a Spanish speaking nation or heritage. Examples: Before We Were Free by Julia Alvarez, Esparanza Rising...there are many, many, many out there!
